Brabus tuned Mercedes-Benz 280se. Throwback to the good old vintage era.

It was September, 1967. Mercedes-Benz had just released their most powerful 6-Cylinder variant of the W111. This refinement came with a 2.8 litre engine that powered 160 horses under its hood.

Ever since then, there would be only 1,390 units ever built. And this example you see here is one of those cars that was completely reworked on, by Brabus, the high-end tuning company in vogue, that is quite an exclusive specialist for Mercedes.

Their plant in Bottrup, Germany worked their asses off in restoring this exquisite classic with something they would like to refer to as ‘6-star quality’ in their work.

To get into more technical details :
Engine : 6-Cylinder
Engine size : 2778 cm3
Power : 118 kW / 160 hp
Registration date : 18.11.1969
0-100 km/h in 10.5 seconds
Vmax : 185 km/h / 115 mph

Brabus quotes a heavy price of 398,000 Euros for the vehicle in Germany.

The real question however is, would you be willing to spend that much for the sake of feeling classy, unless you’re a dedicated car collector?
