Volkswagen ID.4 GTX – Volkswagen’s sharpest EV in its quiver.
This is currently going to be the fastest EV from Volkswagen’s vault. The ID.4 has gotten the GTX performance branding making the car the fastest EV, that Volkswagen ever designed.
The GTX version is pretty much similar to the ID.4, although with certain add-on styling elements.
With an all-wheel drive configuration, and an output power of 295 hp, the GTX can go from 0 to 62 mph in 6.2 seconds. The top speed is limited to 112 mph which is also not a really impressive figure, considering the Autobahn standards in Germany.
The vehicle uses a battery pack of 77 kWh (same as that of the ID.4) offering a WLTP range of 290 miles. Other details aren’t revealed by the carmaker until now.
As of yet, this is the flagship car that represents Volkswagen, in the EV arena. However, Volkswagen has still got a long road to come up to the league of Tesla and other major players.
What do you think of this new addition to Volkswagen EV line-up?
