Lincoln is an age old marque that used to function as a luxury arm for Ford. However these days Ford is more focused onto trucks and pick-ups than on passenger vehicles.
Like Chrysler, Lincoln was suffering from its falling popularity of their elegant sedans.
Interestingly, things seem to have taken a slight turn in China, with the introduction of the old Lincoln Zephyr nameplate. Yep, Zephyr was one of their earliest christened luxury sedans back in the 1930’s.
The Zephyr Reflection Preview, is sadly only intended to be sold in China, when the concept was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show last week.
Speaking of the car, we do not have much details as for now. But it’s probably safe to say that, this all new Zephyr wouldn’t really be facing a fatal demise like its predecessor sedan from Lincoln ; the Continental. The main reason being that the car is going to roll out with an electric/plug-in hybrid drivetrain. That adds a whole new market for this almost outdated American luxury marque.
Rest is for you to judge, from the photoshoot of the concept.
