Cadillac Lyriq – Caddy’s answer to the EV market.

Cadillac has announced its grand entry into the EV arena with its all new Lyriq nameplate.
The Lyriq SUV from Cadillac is an upcoming all-electric production car, that is supposedly launching in early 2022.

As of now, we do not have much details. However the ones we got to know from speculations are that it has got a low centre of gravity and 100 kWh of battery that could provide a decent 300 miles range. The battery is a yield from the General Motor’s EV battery technology, called the Ultium. Larger sizes of this battery would be the ones powering Hummer EV SUV. The expected range is somewhere around 300 miles.

This EV from Caddy is most likely going to be a contender for the Audi E-Tron, Jaguar I-Pace and the Tesla Model X.

The starting price is expected to be around 60 grand (60k USD). The most loaded trim supposedly costs around a 100 grand (100k USD).

What do you think of an electric Caddy?
