This frozen deep green metallic stretch of exquisiteness is the most expensive and powerful BMW till date. The entire body is heavily invested with carbon fibre, shaving off an enormous 70 kgs from the preceeding M5 version.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is the all new BMW M5 CS. Which implies ‘Competition Sport’ Version.
This animal also happens to carry THE most powerful engine that BMW has ever set under the hood of a production car – Tweaked twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 of the M5 which yields a 10bhp excess. That would amount to a 626 bhp total output power with a torque of 553 lb-ft. It does the 0-62 mph feat in a mere 3.0 seconds. And 0-124 mph within 10.4 seconds. The top speed is limited to a massive 189 mph on paper. Dropped your jaws? Well, the M5 CS also holds the title of the most powerful car BMW ever made (since the M5 CS engine also just surpassed the engine powered by BMW M for the McLaren F1 back in the 90’s).
The vast kidney ‘grille’ are set within a frame of gold-bronze. In a similar fashion, the long 20 inch wheels and the entire labelling thoroughout the car constitutes of the gold-bronze architecture too.
The M5 CS costs an extravagant 199,000 Euros in France, roughly 180,000 Euros in Germany but only an equivalent of 117,000 Euros (140,000 USD) in the US.
It is expected to roll out by spring this year.
BMW M has a pretty impressive track record of sales in the last year. It could be an obvious prognosis that the M5 CS would sell like hot cakes, thanks to the wealthy loyal Beamer cult all around the world. Would you go for an M5 CS if you had a 200,000 Euros?
