Bentley Mulliner Bacalar
Speak of ultimate luxury and there comes a vehicle from 2020 that probably rules over any Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, or Maybach. It’s the Mulliner Bacalar from Bentley. Apparently only 12 of them are built – all of which have already been sold. Nevertheless let’s admire the intricacies of Bentley’s (Mulliner’s) expertise in coach building.

“This is the first year of Bentley’s second century, one where we will reinvent the company with the aim of becoming the benchmark for luxury cars. We celebrate that with an open car, just as we did 100 years ago. The Bacalar is a pure two-seater like the famous Bentley Blower of the 1920s, but with considerably more comfort.” – Bentley CEO, Adrian Hallmark.

The Mulliner Bacalar is an open top GT with 650 hp. Open top would means you wouldn’t want to take it out on a rainy day. But that is the least concern of a prospective Mulliner buyer anyway.

The interior of the car screams premium. The whole setup is indeed nothing short of impressive perfection dipped in luxury. Usage of anodized bronze, woolen seats so on and so forth.
The entire wood trim in the interior is Riverwood which is supposedly 5000 years old.

You could imagine the level of craftsmanship involved, in dealing with such ancient components of earth ; drying them out and taking care of not having them breaking apart before using them as building material.
What’s more? Each seat inside the car has 150,000 stitches in them.
Such is the extent of detailing.

Bentley says that the Mulliner Bacalar is a twin sister to the EXP 100 GT Concept. Both the cars were designed together. And that is pretty much evident in the blade shaped rear lights.

The Mulliner uses the same powertrain from the Continental GT – W12 Engine, 650 hp and 667 lb-ft torque. Top speed is more than 200 mph and can achieve an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
Any guesses on the price?
It’s a staggering 2 million USD!!
Ostensibly the rarest rarest car of the generation.
